Day 01 / Arrival Delhi
Welcome to India! arrive Delhi, meet assist by our tour executive at the airport & then transfer to hotel. Overnight at Delhi.
Breakfast in Hotel, after breakfast drive to Jaipur. On arrival check into the hotel. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour, JANTAR MANTAR - Jantar Mantar (Observatory) has the Jaiprakash Yantra, Samrat Yantra, Ram Yantra and the Composite instrument, which comprises of a sundial and a massive hemisphere. The Jantar mantar in Jaipur is the most famous one among the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. HAWA MAHAL - The Hawa Mahal, which adjoins the famous City Palace wall, was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and has now become one of the major landmarks of Jaipur. The palace is shaped like a pyramid and is a five-storied building, with number of small windows and screens, with arched roofs. Since the Hawa Mahal was built at a time when women of the royal families had to observe strict purdah, many believe that the Hawa Mahal was built, just so these ladies could watch the processions and various activities taking place on the streets. Day 03 / Jaipur
Breakfast in Hotel , after breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour in Jaipur.
AMBER FORT PALACE - Amber Fort, is one that cannot be easily described. The Amber Fort set in picturesque and rugged hills is a fascinating blend of Mughal Architecture, construct by Raja Mann Singh in 1592 and completed by Swai Jai Singh, the fort is made in red sand stone and white marble. The rugged forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise with a beautiful of art and architecture. Amber Fort is the classic and romantic fort palace with a magnificent aura. The interior wall of palace depicts expressive painting scenes with carvings, precious stones and mirror settings.
CITY PALACE - City Palace located in the heart of the world city. The City Palace is a blend of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture and the royal family still lives in a part of the Palace. The building now forms the Maharaja Swai Man Singh II Museum and on display here are a wide array of royal costumes, some vary exquisite and precious pashmina (kashmiri) shawls, Benaras silk sarries sauganeri prints and folk embroidery. An unusual display is that of voluminous clothes worn by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I (Ruled 1750 -1768). The art gallery is located in the Diwan I Aam, which literally, mean the hall of public audience. Between the armory museum and the art gallery is the Diwan I Khas meaning the hall of private or selective audience. This is a marble pave pavilion and puts on display the world largest sterling silver object two gigantic silver vessels. Overnight at Jaipur.
After breakfast, leave for Agra. Enroute visit the abandoned Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri : built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, was the old capital of the Moghuls, which was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal & other Palaces which are still preserved in its original glory. Continue drive to Agra. Arrive Agra in the evening and checkin at prebooked hotel. Night stay in Agra.
Day 05 / Agra - Gwalior
After breakfast, city tour of Agra. Visit Red fort, which was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565, and additions were made up until the time of his grandson, Shah Jahan. It contains the hall of public and private audiences amongst many other beautiful structues; Itmad-ud-daulah, which was contructed by Nur Jahan between 1622 and 1628 and is very similar to the tomb she constructed for her husband, Jehangir, near Lahore in Pakistan; the highlight of the day - The Taj Mahal, which was constructed by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Contruction of the Taj began in 1631 and was not completed until 1653. Afternoon, leave for Gwalior. On arrival in Gwalior check in at prebooked hotel. Night stay in Gwalior.
After breakfast, visit the Gwalior fort. Afternoon, transfer to the railway station to board train for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi meet and assist at the railway station and transfer to prebooked hotel. Night stay in Delhi.
Day 07 / Delhi
After breakfast, half day city tour of Old Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Built by Shah Jahan, the construction was started in 1844 and was not completed until 1658; Red Fort, which was also built by Shah Jehan. This massive fort was built from 1638 to 1648; Chandni Chowk and Rajghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Afternoon, city tour of New Delhi. Visit Humayuns Tomb : built in mid 16th century this is an early example of Mughal architecture; Qutab Minar, drive past India Gate, President House, Connaught Place. The city tour ends with a visit to Laxmi Narayan Temple (Birla Mandir). Night stay in Delhi.
Transfer to International airport to board flight for onward journey or way back home.
